Easy Simple Delicious Baked Cornish Hen

Ladies and gentlemen, I now introduce to you your new favorite entree, Cornish Hennnnnn! I've literally always wanted to do that, lol! But seriously, you all are going love this recipe.  It's seasoned with the right spices and stuffed with the best veggies and herbs.  Enjoy it for thanksgiving as a turkey alternative or on a regular day for lunch or dinner.  You can also chop it up and fold the meat in your dressing/stuffing Whatever your hearts desire, you will enjoy it! Ingredients
    Poultry
  • 2 Cornish Hens
  • Spices and Herbs
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Season All Seasoning Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
  • Celery, Onions, Sage, Lemons (Slice for stuffung)
  • 5 tablespoons Butter (2 tbsp butter per Cornish Hen and melt remaining for drizzle)
  • Olive Oil
Instructions
  1. If Frozen, thaw hen in the refrigerator for at least a day.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  3. Prep Veggies. Add all seasonings to a bowl
  4. Remove inside giblets and rinse hen inside and out. Pat hens dry with paper towel and rub down with olive oil
  5. Season hens inside and out with seasoning mix, then stuff with equal amounts butter, veggies, and herbs . Place stuffed birds in a 9x13 inch baking dish, breast side up. Drizzle with 1/4 cup melted butter.
  6. Pop it in the oven and bake for 1 hour or more until nicely browned. Make sure to baste cornish hen with drippings throughout the baking process
  7. Enjoy
