It was the middle of July, I was shopping at my local grocery store and found the sweetest black plums. I thought to myself, I wonder what I can drum up with these.
A few weeks before, I did a segment on Instagram about plums because they were in season. I found from my research that plums are considered "healthy foods." What does that mean exactly, Plums are rich in calcium, fiber, and antioxidants.
My creative juices started flowing and I wanted to make something that was both healthy that anybody could eat, but full of flavor and that's how this salad came out.
Black Plum Summer Salad is super light and refreshing. Packed with walnuts, ginger, and basil, with a Sweet Onion Ginger Dressing. The best way to eat this is sitting outside on a warm day.
